Production answer · print imposition
How does the studio estimate labels per sheet?
It divides the declared printable sheet area by each template’s cut width and height, including the chosen margin and inter-label gap. The result is a planning grid and estimated sheet count.
Why this matters
Different templates can produce different grids on the same paper. The estimate is intentionally simple and inspectable so a user can see the exact inputs.
A reviewable sequence
- Choose paper and orientation in the brief.
- Enter finished cut size for each template.
- Set realistic margins and cutting gaps.
- Print one sheet at 100% and measure the result.
