Production answer · print imposition

How does the studio estimate labels per sheet?

It divides the declared printable sheet area by each template’s cut width and height, including the chosen margin and inter-label gap. The result is a planning grid and estimated sheet count.

Why this matters

Different templates can produce different grids on the same paper. The estimate is intentionally simple and inspectable so a user can see the exact inputs.

A reviewable sequence

  1. Choose paper and orientation in the brief.
  2. Enter finished cut size for each template.
  3. Set realistic margins and cutting gaps.
  4. Print one sheet at 100% and measure the result.
