Vitrineproof

Production answer · viewing distance

Can an on-screen proof show whether a label is readable in the gallery?

No. A screen proof catches structure and many line-break problems, but viewing distance, lighting, glare, height, angle, obstruction, and visitor movement require a physical test in context.

Why this matters

The printer brief keeps this limitation visible so a clean browser preview is not mistaken for installation approval.

A reviewable sequence

  1. Print a representative longest label at 100%.
  2. Place it at the planned height and angle.
  3. Check from seated and standing sight lines where relevant.
  4. Repeat under actual or representative lighting.
